Mummy bags are very effective for keeping warm, but I am not comfortable in a confining bag. We bought two Ozark Trail 30-Degree Sleeping Bags. We have stayed nicely warm while sleeping in the cold in this bag. Rated for 30-degrees, we have slept in it down to 13.

I won’t ever buy an expensive sleeping bag after carrying this cheapo, unless I can find a cheap bag that weighs a lot less. I purchased this sleeping bag for warm weather camping trips at the local lake. For fifteen dollars I wasn’t expecting (or needing) anything that would stand up to freezing weather. Unfortunately the workmanship was more than a little upsetting, even for that price. The Ozark Trail 40 Sleeping bag is not only a great looking bag, but offers warmth and comfort on a cool summer’s night. Also great for overnight guests, slumber parties or opening it up to use as a blanket or comforter.

Shopping for sleeping bags is overwhelming. There are just so many bags available. I did a good bit of research before purchasing ours. Of course, I wanted something that would keep us warm.

The bag uses Climatech fill, a down alternative, making it very light. The roomy bag, 33 inches wide by 75 inches long, rolls up to a compact 14 by 8 inches. Made with soft polyester, the outer layer being a diamond ripstop material, the bag is both comfortable and durable. The zippers are sturdy, with no problems in the two years we have used them. A lightweight sleeping bag that offers extra length and extra warmth. This is a great summer sleeping bag that is lightweight and easy to carry.

Pairing these strategies together made it reasonably comfortable at that temperature. The bag on its own is very comfortable down to the 30-degree range. I cannot believe that I wasted 160 dollars on some junk. I bought four sleeping bags for camping. I’m so disappointed with this product that I advise anyone buying sleeping bags not to even look at Ozark and buy Coleman instead.

The Ozark Trail 40F cool weather sleeping bag features a durable, easy-to-clean polyester diamond ripstop shell and has a soft breathable liner. For easy convenience, the dual zippers allow you to fold down the top cover on both sides and easily snap into place. This extra-large sleeping bag measures 36 inches wide by 80 inches long and is recommended for people six feet tall and above.

The bag, by itself, is not very warm at that temperature. We layer a blanket between the sleeping pads and the sleeping bags for some extra insulation. When it is very cold I also use a comforter over the sleeping bags. We wear warm clothes to sleep in, including a beanie. Hand warmers in our socks and body warmers in our shirts are helpful as well. Our sleeping bags zip together, allowing us to take advantage of the shared body heat.

If they wanted to skimp on fabric, it should have been used on the outside and bottom of the bag! Not on the interior where comfort is the main issue. I was on a budget so I figured Ozark Trail Camping Chairs I would go with a less expensive bag. I got in the bag, tried to zip it and the zipper tore immediately. Sleeping bag is a little bulky and probably not the best for backpacking.

I could have gotten better quality from a teenager’s home ec project and lighter weight. I notice this isn’t the first review with this complaint. The zipper broke on my warm weather Ozark Trail Camping Chairs bag on the second night out. Too bad too because overall I’ve had good luck with Ozark Trail stuff. Too bad the buyer at Walmart has gone to sleep on quality control on this product.
