Bissell Cordless Vacuum Cleaners

That’s why I decided that when I reviewed the Bissell ICONpet Cordless Vacuum, I was going to wait a solid 6 months to deliver my review. Here we are, 6 months later, and I’m ready to give you a thorough, honest bissell cordless vacuum review of this vacuum cleaner. Here are the best performers of each type of stick vacuum—corded and cordless—listed in alphabetical order. For all vacuum types, see our full vacuum ratings and recommendations.

I am happy to report that I have not had to get my scissors out once yet for this vacuum! I did just check it and there are some hairs wrapped around it, but not very many, and it hasn’t affected the functionality of the brush or suction. Cordless vacuum warranties will vary by manufacturer and by model, but the majority of models we’ve tested will offer at least a year of coverage, if not two. The Dyson and Tineco models we tested each offer two years of coverage, as does the Samsung Bespoke Jet, though Samsung only offers a single year for its Jet 75 and Jet 90 cleaners. The table below tells you the average percentage of sand each vacuum was able to remove from each of our three test surfaces.

At the touch of a button, the Bissell ICONpet transforms into a handheld vacuum. Weighing in under three pounds (yes I weighed it), I can vacuum my stairs in five minutes compared to fifteen. Overall, Bissell is a popular vacuum brand for a reason – these vacuums are dependable and last up to two years bissell vacuum cleaner without issue. However, some models are better than others when it comes to cleaning different surfaces. This is why your needs are most important when deciding which of the many models is the best Bissell vacuum for you. I love that it lights up, making it easier to spot any dirt on the floor.

Here at my house, what I’ll find in furniture is a guessing game. Most of the time it’s leftover breakfast and dog hair, both of which the Bissell sweeps right up! If you have pets or children, the handheld option will save your sanity. In another bump up from its cousin, this model comes with a three-year warranty (vs. the two-year offered on the standard ICONPet). Overall, the two are very similar, but the Pro offers a few extra features for its higher price point.

All of the cordless vacuums we tested were between 4 and 7 pounds, but none was so heavy that it affected our recommendation. All of the vacuums on this list were also very similar in height and overall size. The Dyson models are both roughly 49 inches, while the Tineco A11 is shorter at just 43 inches tall. To simulate small particle size, we use a mix of play sand and landscaping sand.

While testing, we found that it still has many of the same attributes as some more expensive cordless stick vacs like a long run time, a variety of helpful attachments and variable suction levels. The tangle-free brush roll helps prevent hair from wrapping around it while cleaning, and the full-width suction means you’ll find an easier time getting those tight corners clean. We also appreciate that it includes a crevice and dusting brush tool so you can remove dirt from even the smallest spaces. It was our No. 1 finisher on low-pile carpet, with a sand score of 93% and another perfect 100% with the black rice. It’s a strong performer on plushier, mid-pile carpet, too, which is our most difficult test. The Pure One S11 finished in third here, gathering up 78% of the sand and, once again, 100% of the black rice.

Eureka and BISSELL vacuums occupy a similar budget-friendly niche, and offerings from each brand tend to have strengths. When comparing like-for-like models, BISSELLs usually have a wider array of convenience features, while Eurekas offer superior debris pickup performance. Dyson vacuums tend to occupy a much higher price point than BISSELL’s offerings, which is reflected in generally superior performance and better build quality. That said, BISSELL’s selection of corded models is far more extensive than what Dyson offers. Tangle-free brush
Pet hair is one thing, but long (human) hair is a whole new ballgame. Bissell’s patented Tangle-Free Brush Roll is amazing and prevents hair from wrapping around the brush.

She has expanded CR’s cookware category to include not only more pots and pans but also other essentials like stand mixer attachments, sheet pans, and vacuum sealers. Mary also covers vacuums but finds cooking way more fun than cleaning. Since the mid-1990s, Mary has held senior positions at People.com, MSNBC, and Ladies’ Home Journal. Here is how we conduct our revamped stick vacuum tests of brands including Bissell, Dyson, Hoover, Kenmore, Samsung, Shark, and Tineco. I’m not sure anyone wakes up in the morning thinking, “I can’t wait to vacuum,” but this cordless vac makes it a much less painful chore.

This model does its best on hard floors, particularly when picking up crumbs. It struggles on carpeting though, gliding over the surface without necessarily picking anything up behind it. It also struggles on pet hair and might not be the best option if you suffer from allergies because it lacks proper filtration. Bissell offers vacuums across a number of different varieties, including upright, cordless, stick, robotic, and canister.
