The Blackstone 36″ Gas Griddle station uses four independent stainless steel burners with temperature settings that go Low-High to allow you to cook a variety of tasty foods for large groups of people. While they’ve been selling griddles since 2005, they’ve enjoyed the huge resurgence in this style of outdoor cooking. The Renetto Original Canopy Chair, a cleverly designed specialty seat, is ideal for anyone who wants sun protection and doesn’t mind a heavier, bulkier chair. Despite the Renetto’s weight, our testers found it easy to carry and simple to set up and adjust. We discovered that even though most testers had not previously considered a shade-equipped camp chair, once they used one they appreciated the comfort and convenience of built-in sun blocking.
One thing that stood out immediately is that the cooking grate is rather thin. I don’t believe that this will be a long-termproblem, but compared to other grills, the grate is definitely thinner. If they did make the grate stiffer/stronger, it would probably add to the weight of the grill and thus reduce the portability.
The shaded Renetto chairs were consistently the first seats snagged at a beautiful but harshly exposed Indian Grove group campsite. Thanks to the stainless steel finish it was really easy to keep the grill clean (even when we were camping). The Coleman Roadtrip 285 is one of the best propane models coleman cabin tent we’ve cooked with in the wind. The holes in the burners are smaller than most, and the overall shape of the grill body is fairly aerodynamic and low-profile. We didn’t experience any issues while grilling food with this model on a windy night in the high desert at an elevation of 7,000 feet.
This minor limitation isn’t enough to overcome all of the good that comes with this model. It’s an ideal choice if you need a small, coleman sleeping bags portable gas griddle. Stainless steel construction and a removable grease tray make clean up the easiest out of all griddles tested.
