Ozark Trail 7 Review 2024

Mine is red and black and the rainfly covers everything except for a tiny place to get in. Only complaint was the zipper hangs on the front door flap, destroyed flap and zipper. I have tried to use it at our local beach and when ozark trail canopy ever the wind gets to 7-10 mph off we go chasing the tarp and that leaves the screen dome uncovered and in blew the sand. Once we tried it at the lake wind came up, off comes the tarp that with a light rain everything got wet.

This tent was close to foolproof when it came to the rain fly because it was already connected. In the following paragraphs I share just a few design features that, in my opinion, make this a well-designed product. The design of this tent is a big rectangle, and it only has one door, but I haven’t found this setup to be a problem. The front door is a massive T-style door, allowing you to move large gear in and out with ease. If the previous tent isn’t your style, you might be itching for an Ozark Trail cabin tent. Cabin-style tents provide more headspace and allow you and your gang to walk around more.

And finally, the biggest con is probably that the quality isn’t the best with the slightly sticky tent fabric, loose threads, snagging issues and inconsistent mesh. Also, I noticed that some water was already seeping through the blue fabric at the bottom of the tent, and the fabric is pretty much soaked. Because there’s only 1 door in the entire tent, only 1 “room” will have the door, and the other “room” will only have windows. The Ozark Trail 10-Person Tent also comes with a room divider, so you can split the tent into 2 rooms, and each “room” can fit 2 queen-sized camping mattresses.

Foregoing the central pole in favor of the braced design, along with the considerable surface area of the sides, makes it much more prone to failure during severe weather. To clear the ozark trail wall tent air immediately, the 7 Person Teepee is not waterproof. The seams aren’t sealed, and the untreated fabric that makes up the body is prone to soaking through after prolonged exposure.

Called “Walmart, the high cost of low prices” it will explain to you why the product there is so cheap. I received my Ozark tent from my grandparents, which I used 9 years ago when we went camping with them. Not the best, but certainly better than other shelters I’ve stayed in. At least it is easy to clean and provides bug protection. Again, I AM a soldier with nearly 30 years experience in putting tents together.

Its combination of a spacious floor plan, smart layout, and added livability all work together to make it the stand-out model in the Ozark Trail lineup. For this reason Cabin tents are top of the list for families, tall ceilings allow for lights, fans and lanterns to be hung… These push locks get very difficult to ozark tent use over time, especially if the tent is used on the beach and exposed to sand and… So I called the company requesting new poles and a month later I have yet to see my new poles. Also using a ground cover under the tent (seems obvious to me) will help prevent water from coming in from the underside of the tent.

If you’re looking to save money but still want that cabin tent experience, the Ozark Trail 10-Person Two-Room Cabin is tough to beat. If you’re willing to spend a few extra bucks (emphasis on few), the Ozark Trail 9-Person Cabin with a screen room gives some added livability at a similar price point. Second, Ozark Trail tents are affordable because they use very basic materials. All Ozark Trail poles are either steel alloy or fiberglass, and the fabrics used throughout the tent are typically on the thinner side.

In windy conditions high stress is applied to each side and the frame begins to break down at the unreinforced joint connectors….

Take time to inspect your tent when you first get it (damages from shipping are common), and don’t ever “force” anything when setting up or tearing down your shelter. Livability describes the overall day-to-day experience ozark trail tents of owning and using a tent, and tents that are more comfortable, convenient, and easy to use score the highest in terms of livability. Our favorite Ozark Trail tent currently is the Ozark Trail Three Room Instant Cabin.

We must have had some wind but not tornado force/ hurricane force winds. I just wish who I need to contact to get a new tent shell and two end poles that are made of sturdy material would contact me and make good of it. It is an Ozark Trail Dome Tent that is a 4-person tent. The design change I want to comment on concerns the little “laundry room” that protrudes out the back of the tent.
