3 Best Ozark Trail Tents of 2022 for Large Families & Queen Mattresses
The one exception to the rule here is for the larger cabin-style tents, especially those with an “instant tent” design that uses pre-attached poles. The Ozark Trail Yurt gets high marks for its overall interior space with 169 square feet of floor room and ceilings over 7 feet tall at their peak. That’s plenty of room for two queen mattresses with room left over for some chairs, a cooler, and a camp table. Speaking of camp tables Ozark Trail actually includes a small table with this shelter, which mounts at the base of the main support pole to make the most of the tent’s interior space. Layout wise is virtually identical to the Core Instant Cabin we evaluated for our 10 person tent roundup, but delivers those same massive interior dimensions for about $100 less. Ozark Trail is all about big family camping tents on a budget, and few are as big and budget-friendly as the Ozark Trail 10 Person Two-Room Cabin.
There are no vents in this Ozark Trail 10-Person tent at all. The rainfly is removable, but only from the outside. You can also leave the rainfly off, and stargaze ozark trail sleeping bag at night when it’s not raining. If there’s no rain, you can unzip the windows for more ventilation, and there’s a bug net to prevent larger bugs from getting in.
Light wind and rain should be fine, but you’ll want to take some steps to prepare for both (more on that below). It’s a cool tent all around, but our favorite feature has to be the 360-degree views delivered courtesy of this yurt’s giant mesh windows. There are three of these large floor-level windows along the walls of the tent, plus the giant mesh doorway that can be left open in good weather. Overall, it could have been roomier, but the weight savings were attractive to me with only one spar instead of two.
After spending a lot of time with Ozark Trail tents, my final verdict is that they’re excellent budget-friendly tents. Like any brand, Ozark Trail tent’s waterproof resistance and performance will depend on each tent’s design, the tent material, and factory flaws. Ozark Trail tents are competitive with CORE and Coleman Tents, but in our opinion ultimately fall a little short of both brands in quality and consistency. It has a tremendous amount of features and can easily be set up by one person in just a few minutes. A super important factor when considering tents is the setup.

We have been camping for seven years and have never had as much water come in and soak our things in other tents from Wal-Mart.
I looked inside the tent and noticed about 4 leaks. I did like this tent for the roominess if you don’t put up the wall and you camp were it’s not going to rain (or snow for those who live in Canada). I’ve got to say it’s going back cause I live in Canada. As a cabin type tent, the walls are very high and almost vertical, and the ozark trail tents peak height in the central dome area is 78 inches (198 cm). I had to tape the tent together with military issue 100-mile-an-hour tape. Yes, I had to tape the tent poles together at night because the snaps failed miserably when the wind blew gently and caused the tent to completely collapse… in great weather, with little wind, and no rain. The question I put to you are you making this material out of pewter or real metal. What more descriptions do you need, my finger went on handle pulled it down it broke. The people who make your zippers should quit and get another profession.
