Weber Spirit II E-310 review: the best gas grill you can buy

If your order arrives damaged, please be sure to take pictures and provide those to us in order to help us provide proper reparations. Weber’s red $599 Spirit II E-310 gas grill cooks pretty well, but costs too much. We rarely recommend products we haven’t tested and we never recommend products that we don’t love. Often, but not always, if you purchase a product after clicking a link on our site we get a finder’s fee.

Once cooled, remove the grates and brush them with a grill brush to remove any remaining particles. For stubborn debris, use a mild dish char broil performance soap and warm water, along with a non-abrasive sponge or cloth. Rinse thoroughly and dry before placing the grates back into the grill.

The included regulator is designed to fit a 5kg or 13kg patio gas bottle from brands such as FloGas or Calor. All Gas bottles can be stored on the included rack at the side of the barbecue keeping them off the ground and safely stored. This appliance has really improved our family barbecues.

It retained the sauce flavor well; unlike other grills where the flavor was lost in cooking, the Weber Spirit II E-310 maintained its barbecue flavor. There are a handful of grills with similar features to the Weber Spirit II E-310, including the Master Cook Classic Smart Space Living 3 Burner LP Gas Grill. Like the Weber grill we reviewed, this Master Cook model features three burners, foldable side tables, and porcelain-enameled grates, but the Master Cook retails for significantly less than the Weber. Though the high-tech accessory isn’t included with this grill, we like that we have the option to invest in the device down the road. The Weber Spirit II E-310’s compact size made it easy for us to fit it in tight spaces on our deck, yet it still offered a large enough surface to cook for our family of five.

Although Spirit II is Weber’s entry level full-sized gas grill line, it is still more expensive than many popular low cost brands. However, most Spirit owners feel that Weber’s weber spirit 2 quality, durability, performance and customer service are worth it. Many cheapo gassers only last three to four years while Spirits can keep grilling for decades.

If a random person walked into our offices off the street and demanded the best grill they could get, I’d point them to this. No matter your level of experience, you can grill without fuss. Beginners will be able to turn out great food without needing to master anything new, and serious grillmasters will find that the Spirit II E-310 is great for acing the basics. Combustion by-products produced when using this product contain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.

At 114 pounds, it’s one of the lightest grills we tested. Even so, it was easier to put together with help from someone else. It took my colleague, Molly Price, and I just over an hour to finish building the Spirit II.

The Spirit II is limited to one main three-burner compartment; with 30,000 BTUs of total grilling power — 10,000 BTUs per burner. It’s easy to dry out grilled chicken, but this was juicy and tender throughout while maintain a crisp skin. The skin caught a little, but it made for delicious crispy chicken skin that tasted great with the smoky barbecue sauces.
