The foot deck of the E100 is 7.75″ wide, which is plenty of space for riders maxing out at 120 lbs. The E200 and E300 both have fuller decks for larger riders. It would charge, the On/Off button would turn on, but the throttle wouldn’t engage the motor. It was a bit difficult to get back on track, but doable and this fixed our problem. The Razor E100 has been equipped with a hand operated brake on the handlebars which can be easily pulled to bring the scooter to a safe stop. The top speed of 10 mph will let your child have fun, safely gliding around the block, but also give you reassurance that they can’t go too fast.
The Razor Power Core E90 electric scooter is fitted with Power Core hub motor (hence its name), which is better than the chain-driven motor in the other two. The hub motor gives the E90 a long drive razor hoverboards time – 80 minutes. This is nearly twice that of the Razor E100 Glow and the Razor E200; both offer around 40 minutes of continuous use. The E100 lacked much of anything beyond its brake, accelerator and kickstand. I looked in vain for a charge indicator or any kind of front or rear lights, which would make this scooter a little safer to ride in the evening. After unboxing the E100 Glow, Razor’s smallest scooter, I had it assembled in minutes using the included hex wrench. I snagged its charger from the box, found the port on the side of the E100, and plugged it in.
There are three speed modes, though I never used anything but the highest speed mode. And the motor braking in the rear wheel is surprisingly powerful. In fact, you may find yourself using the rear foot brake for more gentle stops, since the motor braking comes on quite strong. The twist grip throttle controls the speed and is on the right hand.

The E100’s main drawback are its batteries, which will require regular use and charging to maintain their power. Charge cycles for lead-acid batteries will razor scooter likely limit the E100 to about five years, but a child will outgrow it in that amount of time. Chase found the E100 easy to ride and well balanced.
