In our tests, this looked like caramelized steaks with light grill marks and tender ribs with a defined smoke ring beneath a dark bark. The one we have needs a bit of a longer regulator so it would be easier to screw on the propane tank. The tank lasted longer than we thought it would so that’s great. The only thing that would make this better is if there was a washable carrying case or container.

The pan is made from lightweight metal and has a recessed area in the center to hold a disposable tin. It’s supposed to slide in underneath the grill body, but the pan that came with my grill was the tiniest bit too big and wouldn’t slide into the grooves. Unequivocally, the Weber Q 1200 is a fantastic portable grill, taking the top spot as our favorite tabletop option. However, it is relatively expensive compared to other top models we tested. Your grilling style is where you cook, how many people you cook for, and what type of foods you typically cook. If you like to cook whole pork butts in your backyard for your family, a small portable grill isn’t going to fit the bill for you. If you’re somewhere in the middle, a kettle or pellet grill may be a good choice for you.

Enameled or powder-coated steel is durable, but eventually, it can crack or chip, leading to rust underneath. That impressive performance begins the moment this arrives at your door. After a straightforward set-up, all you need to do is push the ignition button and connect it to the Weber Connect app on your phone.
