Under no circumstances is this warranty a representation that a tire failure cannot occur. Light truck tires are defined as all tires identified with the “LT” designation in the sidewall stamping.

Goodyear reserves the right, without prior notification, to cancel the Order, limit the quantity of any item ordered and/or refuse service to any customer.
If applied to a vehicle without a properly operating low-tire-pressure-monitoring system, the tires may fail when operated in an underinflated condition, resulting in loss of vehicle control and possible serious injury or death. Application of these tires to a vehicle not equipped with specified operational low-tire-pressure-monitoring system constitutes improper and unsafe use of this product. Although no widely accepted scientific research exists to show that chronological aging alone adversely affects a tire, and if so, how those effects occur, over what time period, etc., the longer a tire is in service, the more opportunities there are for it to be exposed to adverse environmental or service conditions. Therefore, the older a tire the greater the chance that it will need to be replaced due to service-related or storage conditions. Owner operators and small fleets can now access discounts that are typically reserved for larger fleets.

It is impossible to predict when a tire should be replaced based on its calendar age alone.
If you experience an issue with your tires, it may be covered under our tire-replacement limited warranty. The Highway Auto and Light Truck Tire Replacement Limited Warranty covers all Goodyear, Dunlop, and Kelly passenger tires. A tire covered by this limited warranty will be replaced with a comparable new tire either free of charge or for a prorated amount, with eligibility based on set treadwear and time limitations. A “comparable” new Goodyear, Dunlop or Kelly tire will be the same brand tire and may be either the same line of tire or, in the event that the tire is not available, the same brand tire with the same basic construction and similar performance attributes with a different sidewall or tread configuration.
