The floor of the tent is made up of a durable PE, again, pretty standard for camping tarps or other heavy-duty fabrics. Even though it is so robust, I always recommend using a ground tarp or some sort of barrier to protect your tent long-term. The poles are steel and connected by braided wire, so there’s not much concern with those going off.
Insert the rubber stoppered piece into the tent’s apex and the “bottom” of the pole into the reinforced corner on the tent’s floor. At this point, you should take the other pole and insert it into the slot on the “Y” shaped piece, then place the bottom of the pole in the opposite corner. Setting up the Ozark Trail Teepee isn’t incredibly difficult, but I must say that if I were going to invest in a tent this size, I’d want the option for it to be freestanding to make it easier to set up. You need to put about a dozen stakes in the ground to set it up, and that can be an issue in rocky areas or where the soil is too loose. However, in good conditions, two people can expect to have the tent completely set up in approximately ten minutes.
The door has 2 zippers for the bug net, and 2 for the door itself. The door can be zipped up from both the inside and outside. The zipper quality is not the best, it’s a little bit noisy, and it always, always snags from the outside because of this green rain cover. The design of this tent is a big rectangle, and it only has one door, but I haven’t found this setup to be a problem. The front door is a massive T-style door, allowing you to move large gear in and out with ease.
Anyone interested in an accessible way to start exploring their local landscape would be well-served by looking at their wide selection of goods. Four total windows are adjustable from the inside of the tent. They’re double-zippered, and it’s just a matter of ozark trail chair rolling them up and stowing them away to enjoy a breeze or take in a view in the morning. Also, a rear window accessed from the outside can be staked out into a small awning that protects the tent’s interior if you need a little extra air when it’s raining.
To get into the other room, you’d have to remove the divider and then put it back up. It rained for about an hour while I was using this Ozark Trail 10-Person Cabin Tent, with about 20 minutes of moderate rainfall and about 40 minutes of pretty light rain. For weather resistance, I looked at rain and wind protection. Also, when it’s raining, there’s hardly any ventilation.
Finally, attach all the pole clips, place the rainfly over the Ozark Trail tent, secure it, and stake out the entire tent. To set up the Ozark Trail 10-Person Tent, first slide the 3 fiberglass poles through the roof pole sleeves. The poles are not color-coded, but the pole sleeves are.
This isn’t an instant tent, but ease of use is still a high point of this model thanks to the simple setup. Just slide the roof poles into place, then plug the side and corner poles into their designated hubs and raise it all up. Two people can get this ozark trail tents cabin set up in about five minutes, but setting the 2 Room Cabin up solo isn’t out of the question either. Having a separate rain fly for a 2- or 3- person tent makes sense because multiple people can split up the weight a little easier on longer hikes.
This right here is the perfect tent for beginner campers. I have bought ozark products such as canapy and soft sided cooler. Looked good but did not wear good.parts wore out quickly.
