During our research, we never could identify if the close-up route is an official trail. Use your best judgment when determining if it’s the right route for you. Samuel H. Boardman State Park consists of 12 miles along the Oregon Coast. Scattered in between Gold Beach and Brookings off Highway 101 there are seemingly endless pullouts, viewpoints, trailheads, and picnic spots.
