The rear hub motor hidden under the raised deck uses an 8-inch airless tire, while the front wheel has a larger 9-inch air-filled tire. The combination of air-filled and airless tires seems a bit odd to me, but perhaps it was done to increase convenience. That rear wheel will be annoying to remove, so an airless tire means you never have to worry about a flat.

The class action suit, representing owners of the affected razor electric scooters, alleged that Razor failed to adequately warn consumers or recall the defective scooters. In doing so, the class action contended that Razor had violated various consumer protection laws.
As for the range, it seemed likely it could go for a bit more than the advertised 40 minutes. I rode the E300 for almost an hour, often at full throttle, and it did not run out of power. The wide deck and plump tires made for a very comfortable ride. I took the E300 down rough asphalt and over the kinds of razor electric scooter small potholes that dot typical city streets. Although there is no actual spring suspension built into this scooter, the tires nicely absorbed all the vibration. If you’re looking for something sleeker, the Razor Power A2 has a similar range but uses a lithium ion battery, which makes for a slimmer deck.
