Good Design: The Ozark Trail 1-Person Backpacking Tent
There is one extra pole that you add above the door to have a small brim. The structure is boxy and although it looks so stable, I would not use it in strong winds and rains. Note that there are no options to stake the floor sides in the middle, but you have guylines for the vents’ flaps, they are visible in the picture below. But in the case of a real summer camping, I see it suitable for couples or for parents with one small child. They write that it can accommodate 2 queen airbeds but you would not have much space around. However, if you are an avid camper, Ozark Trail tents may not be for you.
Because it’s ridiculously inexpensive, the quality, design and weather protection isn’t the best, though I think it’ll work decently in summer (without rain, of course). Assemble your tent poles by snapping the nylon sections into the metal tube-shaped connectors. Thread the stakes through the tent pole sleeves that are sewn into the seams of the tent body.
With such a mesh roof you would not want to use the tent in a cold environment. This is why it is much better suited for a warm climate. This tent comes with the LED light integrated in its structure.
And if this tent is too large, it also comes in a 6-person and 4-person version as well. This right here is the perfect tent for beginner campers. I had no issues with the guylines, though it would be nice if they were reflective at night. The mesh doesn’t exactly feel soft and silky, and I’m pretty sure it’s not no-see-um mesh, though it’ll keep the bigger bugs out.
Second, the fabric feels thin, and a few users have reported ripping it during setup, so you’ll need to take your time both setting up and taking down this tent. Step up your next outdoor adventure with the Ozark Trail 10-Person Instant Cabin Tent. This spacious ozark trail canopy two-room cabin-style tent requires no assembly because the poles are pre-attached to the tent, so all you need to do is unpack, unfold, and extend. This tent features seven large mesh windows and one for improved air circulation throughout the tent.
I can’t use this tent no more until I fined replacement poles. I just called to replace one pole, the cost was $15, which is about half the cost of the tent. A complete set of poles was $45, which is more then a new one. I have not had the poles break, but I have not tried to tie them in a pretzel and was careful in setting it up. I would recommend it if you were camping at the beach.
This Alps Cedar Ridge Rimrock 6 Tent is also very affordable and built in a different style. So this Ozark Trail 6 Person Instant Cabin Tent with Light is really nicely built and with several very ozark trail canopy useful details. The tent is with an express setup design and very suitable for people who change the place frequently, and the integrated light sets it apart from its closest competitors.
This Ozark Trail 10-Person Dark Rest Instant Cabin Tent will help you have a fulfilling camping trip by accommodating the whole crew and making everyone feel comfortable. It sets up in just 60 seconds and requires no assembly, because the poles are pre-attached to the tent, so all you have to do is just unfold and extend. This outdoor cabin tent features innovative Dark Rest technology that blocks sunlight, helping you stay cooler and sleep longer.
I decided that for the $40 I spent on it, (knowing that you get what you pay for) I would sew the gap and seal it really well and get a thicker gage replacement pole for the fly. It is an Ozark Trail Dome Tent that is a 4-person tent. The design change I want to comment on concerns the little “laundry room” that protrudes out the back of the tent. The short pole supplied for that protrusion splintered in two places and poked about four small holes in the black fabric of the laundry bubble. Better instructions on how it should be installed would have prevented the splintering, but I would rather have seen the “laundry room” not be an outside protrusion from the back of the tent. Rather it should have been a large pocket on the inside of the tent that requires no pole at all.
