Ozark Trail Tent Reviews
The set-up was understandably a few steps shorter, which is always nice when setting up in the dark. More than once in the dark I’ve attached a rain fly upside down and we had to restart that particular step. This tent was close to foolproof ozark trail tents when it came to the rain fly because it was already connected. If you need more options to consider, please check around in various categories in the site, this is all about family camping tents and you will surely find something for you.
So after washing your tent and I also do rinse off the poles, do let them dry first before storing it away. There was quite a bit of this sort of inconsistent mesh in some places, so not very well put together. The material of the tent body and rainfly are made of 68D coated polyester fabric. There was no info provided by Ozark Trail on the material of the flooring, but it feels like your regular polyethylene bathtub flooring, and doesn’t seem very thick. I forgot to measure the height of the bathtub flooring, but I think it’s about 5 inches. Also, I noticed that some water was already seeping through the blue fabric at the bottom of the tent, and the fabric is pretty much soaked.
In terms of drawbacks, this is a particularly budget-friendly model from an already budget-focused brand, so you’ll need to be mindful of a few shortcomings to get the most out of this shelter. First, Ozark Trail uses sealed seams on this tent, but the fabric itself isn’t made for a rainstorm. You’ll want to give the entire tent a thorough Nikwax treatment before taking it on the road.
Walmart told me that i would have to call to order new poles that it was mishandled screw, wont buy another one. I’ve done a lot of camping and seen some cheap tents, but when the poles start to give way on only one use, that is just irresponsible from the company. Never again with the name Ozark will I purchase a product. After a night out, girlfriend and I were going to move on to another campsite and found one of the poles was already starting to shatter! I live in Canada and find these tents to be very good.
The pre-attached poles make this as hassle free and easy to use as anyone can ask for when you’ve got kids running around screaming. It’s also got a center height of 7′ and has a T-style door on one side. Although they’re a little ozark tent harder to use, they allow you to move bigger furniture in and out of the tent easily. Here are some of the very lowest prices, with tents starting at under $30. This is our Ozark Trails Tent that we used for years as a family.
Ozark Trail is a privately-labeled brand owned by Walmart. Several manufacturers create the camping line for Walmart, but everything is sold under the name Ozark Trail. Like other products you buy, there are pros and cons. Determining whether this is a good brand depends on what you’re looking for in a tent. Compared to competitors like Core and Coleman, Ozark Trail’s weather protection isn’t as solid.
