It’s 11 inches shorter in length, three inches shallower in depth, and is 12 pounds lighter. Both grills are built as tabletop models that you can put on a picnic table at the campground or out on your back deck. However, Weber added further functionality and flexibility with a portable cart for the grill to rest on.
So if you are struggling with cheap BBQ’s and ready to make the leap then do it. I love my Q and not having to buy a new BBQ every year. Our avid grillers love the portable aspect of the Weber Q, allowing grilling at parks, poolsides, beaches, tailgate parties and more. For our urban grillers, it’s perfect for balconies or any size deck. The Weber Q is also a fun house-warming or wedding gift, or a great additional grill for any avid back yard bbq hero.
The burners just don’t make the grade for open flame cooking. Flimsy cheap trolley with weber charcoal grill plastic extra $60 shelves. If you want to use your barby as an oven this is great.
I finally decided to step up and am I glad I did. I purchased a Weber Q from Aussie BBQs and Fireplaces at Capalaba. I highly recommend them if you are in Brisbane area and need a BBQ or Fireplace. But back to the Webber – it has now lasted 3 BBQ season.
We rarely cleaned it & allowed heaps of crap to build up to the point it caught fire multiple times. Despite this, it always fired up the next time & continued to perform.It’s now 2023. I rang the local Weber seller & was told to ring Weber, as they have a lifetime warranty. I rang them & they happily sent out a new one after asking for the serial number. After 11 years, Weber still look after the customer like its a week old. Highly recommend their brand & wouldn’t look at anything else.
If you are looking for a specific model/item, please call to inquire. If you are still not sure if either grill is for you, there are other portable grills that might be worth taking a look at. So, in terms of cooking capacity, if you want to be able to cook more burgers portable bbq at a time, opt for the Q2200. However, this extra cooking capacity obviously means that the Q2200 is the larger and heavier of the two. Even though these are smaller grills, Weber still made sure that there was some shelf space with two fold-out shelves on both grills.
