Weber Spirit II E-310 review: Weber’s Spirit II E-310 makes grilling season a bit brighter

This fire box design holds and radiates heat evenly, perhaps making up for a lid that seems slightly light weight. The small grease tray slides out from the front and disposable foil liners are available. Simply scrape any accumulated grease and gunk from the funnel walls into the tray now and then. For the most part, Spirit’s GS4 Grilling System is similar to the previous Spirit line. The last Spirit Series had cast aluminum sides with a large, slide out grease tray that doubled as firebox bottom. Spirit II has a single piece, cast aluminum fire box with a funnel shaped bottom that diverts grease into a small slide out grease tray (see below).

The Spirit grills have excellent performance (high heat, even heating, minimal flare ups), are extremely reliable and will last about a decade. It turns out that Weber offers three different two burner Spirit grills and, while Blackstone Adventure the Spirit E 215 is great, it is not the best of the three options. The left side table on the Spirit II E 210 can be folded down but not the right. That might be important to you if you are looking for the grill with the smallest footprint. By the way…both of these grills have the same “black” color. Something happened when I was making the graphic below that makes the E215 look more grey and washed out. If you buy one of those other grills then you will be frustrated while you use it and will toss it in the trash after two years. If you are standing at Home Depot looking at this grill then they probably have it parked beside a Dyna-Glo, Nexgrill or Kitchen Aid grill.

If you’re unfamiliar or uncomfortable with these modifications, you may need to hire a professional to do the job your retailer should be able to help with arrangements. The grill also would, of course, require its own gas line. Charcoal grills are much cheaper, however, and they can burn hotter than gas grills, creating a better sear. Charcoal also imparts a pleasantly smoky flavor to food.

Weber Spirit E-310 Gas Grills has three burners with a combined BTU of 30,000 which is right where it needs to be. The unit doesn’t include a side burner, which is unfortunate but not all that uncommon. If you review Weber grills, such as this Spirit Line or the Weber Genesis II, you’ll find similar power output.

Open the door to the world of grilling with crazy good food and friends coming together. The compact open-cart design and the practical folding side table makes it fit even on small spaces, and you have all the basics you need to get familiar with gas grilling. So whether it’s a busy Monday or a relaxed Sunday – invite a couple of friends over, push the ignition and enjoy Blackstone Adventure the special atmosphere that surrounds the grill. Our main complaint for just about every grill is the obligatory bi-metal dial thermometer in the hood that gives you a ballpark reading of what the temperature is high above the meat. Since we cook down on the grates, it’s always better to use your own digital thermometer and place a probe at the cooking surface.

For these tests, I turned on burners 1 and 3 and left burner 2 in the middle of the grill off, per the user manual’s suggestion. I placed each chicken on a small piece of foil in the center of the grill, directly over burner two (which, again, was turned off). In terms of grill testing, I cooked ribs on low heat, whole chickens on medium indirect heat, and a bunch of burgers on high.

The one difference that makes any difference at all between these grills is that the Flavorizer bars on the E215 are stainless steel while the ones on the E210 are porcelain enameled steel. The stainless steel parts will outlast the porcelain enameled parts by about two years. The Spirit and Spirit II ranges contain models that run on either natural gas or propane, depending on your needs and available energy sources. Hook your Spirit grill into your home’s natural gas supply for a constant stream of low-cost, high-efficiency fuel with no worries about running out in the middle of your grill session. It’s easy to dry out grilled chicken, but this was juicy and tender throughout while maintain a crisp skin. The skin caught a little, but it made for delicious crispy chicken skin that tasted great with the smoky barbecue sauces.

They’re compact, yet they remain big enough to accommodate a complete family dinner (say, chicken breasts, corn on the cob, and another vegetable) or burgers and brats for a party. The Weber-Spirit 2 E-210 is small and powerful with all the essential functions for grilling. The two stainless steel Blackstone Adventure burners are lit with a button, so you won’t need a lighter or matches. With its compact dimensions, this Weber model is also suitable for a small balcony or a garden with little space. The cooking grates is now perfectly flat enough to facilitate the passage of the stainless steel brush.
