Lasko 1880 18″ Pedestal Fan with Remote

This list below may not be exhaustive and may change from time to time. Currently we offer FREE FedEx/UPS small package Ground shipping and FREE ABF/YRC freight ground shipping on most orders of $199 or more within the 48 contiguous states. Some irregular shaped or oversized items may include a special handling charge. The charge will show on the product detail page of applicable products. It’s great for getting cool quickly, however, I often had to turn the fan to oscillate because the direct airflow can be too strong on the lowest setting.

Weighing just 13.85 lbs., the lightweight frame offers easy portability so you can quickly carry this fan into rooms where you need it most. Just about every pedestal fan we tested oscillates roughly 90 degrees with the exception of the Vornado 683, which doesn’t oscillate at all but can be twisted on its stand to face any direction. However, the Vornado offers one of the widest pivot ranges, at nearly 90 degrees, whereas most others are closer to degrees at most.

It’s extremely simple and straightforward to operate and does precisely what you’d expect from a basic fan. Its top-measured speed hit just above average at 10.9 mph on high. Though the Pelonis Silent Turbo doesn’t offer the high rate of flow that many others do, it does have a wide range of lower speeds. With 12 distinct speeds, this quiet fan measured between 3.3 mph on its lowest setting to 10.5 mph on its highest. It has four different modes with intuitive speeds and functions to fit precise situations that likely occur daily in most homes. However, the lightweight plastic disc base lacks any feet to hold it in place on a hard floor.

A couple of the modes seem very similar, and it took several seconds to settle into the correct speed when changing a setting. Despite having 12 different speed settings, the highest rate of airflow measured at just 10.5 mph, which is below average for this group of contenders. With all that in mind, we highly enjoy the convenience and less intrusive noise you get with this model.

While I found it easy to use, I wished this Lasko fan had more settings. The highest setting is very strong and while I enjoy it on particularly sweltering nights, I find that it can be strong enough to make my eyes water like they would in a strong wind. Twisting the joint on the fan’s pedestal to the left loosens the pedestal which can then move up and lasko pedestal fans down vertically. Once it’s at your desired height, turn the joint to the right to lock it into place. While air conditioners can change the temperature of a room and reduce humidity, a great fan can still keep you cool and circulate air throughout a room. They’re more energy efficient than an air conditioner since they just cool you—not an entire room.
