“Why don’t you start with the Special Reserve tin for 2008? —that was in 2007, and I said, “I have no idea about graphic Pipe Tobacco in Bags design,” and typical Tom, he said, “Just learn it! ” And this is how it started with getting involved with Peterson.

You can support PPN today by making a small donation to help cover operating and research expenses. In 2014, I saw somewhere in a catalog a butterfly on a string, lifting a brick. And I thought, instead of a brick, why not a Peterson pipe? In 2010 we were back to a tin with a beveled edge, slightly different, but it had to be possible to stack it on tobacconist shelves.

Stick with something that has a lot of natural flavor present, and smoke slowly. Try letting the pipe go out for a while, and then coming back to it. This intensifies the flavors, and gives your palate a chance to zero in on what you are going to be looking for in future smokes. As no tractors of that era had cabs, it was explained that he would always be chasing it after the wind blew it off. Second, no one who rolled his own cigarettes should be hired. He would constantly be taking his mind off his work as he took time to roll a cigarette. Third, a man who chewed tobacco had a habit that would result in the farmer’s equipment being messed up as the wind blew his regular spitting around. I was wide-eyed about everything new I was expected to do and was confused as to why I was being told all that.

As a result, it provides a dryer smoke, but it won’t burn too hot. Because it readily absorbs a number of flavorings, Burley is commonly used in Aromatic blends.

Finally, metal tins are another great option for aging pipe tobacco. Many pre-made tins designed specifically for pipe tobacco are available on the market, but you can also get creative and repurpose other types of tins. The key here is to ensure that the tin is airtight and will not cause your tobacco to become excessively dry.
