IGLOO Coolers Tailgating Gear

These coolers were handmade and featured double-locked seams designed to prevent leaking, which was common with other metal water containers at the time. Within a few decades, the inner metal liner in these coolers was replaced with layers of plastic to ease cleaning. The company soon expanded into many other types of coolers and ice chests for everyday consumers as demand grew for cold drinks during leisure activities. Igloo was responsible for releasing the first all-plastic ice chest in 1962 and, thus, became a part of American history and many people’s fond memories of summer. Some of the company’s most popular products were commercial or nearly so, such as the Giant Sea Chest for deep-sea fishermen that could hold up to 300 pounds of fish and ice combined. Igloo’s modern coolers are still on the cutting edge of design and manufacturing, which makes them both durable and stylish.

The Sonic cooler — officially, the Sonic the Hedgehog Green Hill Zone Little Playmate 7-quart cooler — comes from Igloo, longtime maker of coolers, and is available now. It costs $39.99 on Igloo’s website, features graphics lifted from the original 16-bit Sonic the Hedgehog, and can fit up to nine standard 12-ounce cans. That’s enough beverage for Sonic, Tails, Amy Rose, Knuckles, Shadow, Cream the Rabbit, Rouge the Bat, Espio the Chameleon, and Big the Cat (and Froggy, if they share). Our new Igloo cooler features THERMECOOL™ foam, a cleaner, eco-friendly insulation, and a push-button lid designed with our CA Dreamin’ sunset. The most impressive ice performer of the Igloo lineup, the Cold Locker can compete with some of the big dogs while being a little more affordable.

We do wish that Igloo would improve the hinges and also add some more color choices to the mix, though. The ice life, for the price, is not bad at all and we like the lgloo Cooler mobility of it. The handle is a bit on the weak side and the aesthetics are sort of bland but for those on a tight budget and after something basic, this can work.

The next step up would be the Lifetime High Performance Cooler, which I found on sale at Walmart for $97. It’s worth a look if the MaxCold is too plain for your tastes. It’s nothing fancy, and it won’t hold cold temperatures as long lgloo Cooler as Yeti or Orca will, but it’ll get you awfully close for just a fraction of the price. That makes it my top value pick in the cooler category, and an excellent choice if you just want something dependable that won’t break the bank.

Many Igloo coolers are loaded with unique and well-thought-out accessories that are there to help the user. They add functionality, convenience, and show that Igloo isn’t just concerned lgloo Cooler about making a product that can keep food and drinks cold. I researched a lot of coolers before making this purchase. It seemed like a good balance of cost, features, and weight.

We do wish that there were some more size options but this is a minor complaint. The Igloo Backpack Cooler has undergone some changes that have improved its looks and ice performance. And the features that are in place make this a very portable and reliable product. One common trend that we have seen with Igloo products across the board is the consistent tendency to be one of the most affordable for that category.

Hauling cold drinks and food is easier because soft coolers weigh less, and they’re ready to be custom printed with your logo for memorable gifts. There is a wide variety of sizes and all these promotional coolers are easy to clean and stow when you’re done. Today, Igloo has 1200 employees and sells more than 500 products globally from their 1.8 million square foot facility in Katy, Texas. Igloo cooler products are known for stylish, colorful designs including the iconic Playmate personal cooler. The Igloo catalog also includes insulated beverage coolers and ice chests suitable for caterers and foodservice operators. The best thing that the Quick and Cool has going for it is its ample storage space and attractive pricing.
