I am simply sharing my opinions on these grills after quite a lot of time cooking on both of them. The biggest issue here would be with the fact that there is only one burner. Now, given the size of the model this isn’t too surprising, but it does create a small issue when it comes to indirect cooking.
If you want a lighter grill that’s easier to transport, then the Q1200 might be the better option. It’s 11 inches shorter in length, three inches shallower in depth, and is 12 pounds lighter. So, in terms of cooking capacity, if you want to be able to cook more burgers at a time, opt for the Q2200. However, this extra cooking capacity obviously means that the Q2200 is the larger and heavier of the two. If you are looking for something small that will easily feed a couple of people meat and veggies, or if you want something to handle just meat for a small family, this is an ideal grill.

As long as you clean your grill properly and shield it from the elements, it should last many years.
Also included are the removable drip catch pan, and one disposable liner. The manual which guides you through assembly and a recipe book with a few great grilling portable bbq ideas are also included. Made with solid materials meant to handle both heat and the elements, the Q 100 is known for its durability and longevity.
The spacious dome lid has a built-in thermometer that lets you know when the grill is hot. And small fold-out side tables on either side are convenient for keeping grill tools within reach. If you have a Phillips-head screwdriver and a can-do attitude, you’ll be able to set up the weber genesis 2 2200 Grill in a matter of minutes. After pulling the grill and its pieces out of the box, I attached the lid using the included pins and screwed on the grill’s handle and thermometer. The control valve and ignition button simply slip into place, and the ignition even comes with the necessary AAA battery.
