Weber Genesis II entry models feature either an open storage are or a closed one. The baseline features are 3 burners with each 13,000 BTU cooking power. While versatility may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of gas grills, the new Genesis line is built with the new CRAFTED Outdoor Collection in mind.
Our outdoor kitchen design experts have helped thousands of customers transform their backyards at no extra cost.
It does have the two side shelves, but that required sacrificing a side burner for additional cooking space. The Spirit line serves as a more introductory line and the grills feature 32,000 BTUs per hour as their normal operating specs. The Genesis line feature the PureBlu burners to ensure even and efficient heating throughout the cooking space. The Genesis line also has models with an upgraded 13,000 BTUs per hour sear station, larger than before for searing more steaks at once.
This allows you to swap standard grill grates out for special sear grates, a baking stone, a flat-top griddle, or even more. For the most part, the grilling community seems to agree that the E-310 portable bbq has impressive storage, space, and overall build compared to most gas grills. Both the lid and the grates are finished off with porcelain enameled cast iron, making for superior heat retention.
What makes the Weber Genesis II E-310 a superior grilling experience is its ability to be paired with a mobile app. If you don’t know what this is, it essentially infuses your food with a smoky flavor that is often lost with liquid propane. They offer less temperature variation, allowing even heat across the entire grill. However, you’ll be pleased to know that because of this heat, you can make some beautiful sear marks without needing a sear station. This allows you to connect wirelessly to your grill, monitoring your cook while you catch the game inside. Then, it’ll be up to you to decide if this gas grill is all it’s made out to be.
