After taking it out of the bag, simply unfold it and lay it out flat. Then, all you need to do is extend all the legs until it’s standing upright. 2 people can do it in a couple of minutes, while just one person could easily pitch it in under 5 to 10 minutes, depending on experience. All the poles are already attached to the main hubs, so you don’t need to spend time sliding every pole through every sleeve and risking a mistake.
The CORE tent is comfortable, originally made to sleep 9 people, there is plenty of space for 8. The back private space is the coolest and most stand-out feature, as it’s hidden from the front and doesn’t add extra bulk when you pack it down. The canopy at the front makes for hassle-free relaxation time, protected ozark trail canopy from the sun. Something important to note is that the back-room section is not part of the instant set up. Since it’s somewhat of a hybrid structure, you need to manually insert 2 extra poles into the sleeve to raise it off the ground. You can block it off with the zipper door that fully closes it away.
When something says “waterproof” it does not mean it will not leak. It is simply a way to keep you from direct weather contact. And as with any experienced camper, we all know that tents are not waterproof, even if it says money ozark trail tents back guaruntee. That’s why you buy a tarp to put over and a tarp for under. So next time you go camping instead of relying on a Walmart special, use your head. I have the JW-7607 which is a 2-3 (read that as two) person tent.
But further inspection finds a cozy back room that’s large enough to fit a queen-sized mattress. You can keep the sleeping areas clean and not worry about getting sunburn as you’re in the shade. Having a canopy adds extra room without contributing more to the weight.
It worked well that night and I got some rain in but nothing serious. Now a few years later I erected it in the backyard ozark trail wall tent just for fun. They claim they are weather tested, but I feel they don’t include rain or wind as elements of the weather.
I have included this tent in my list of extra large family camping tents. Thanks to the eight built-in windows and mesh roof, you’ve got enough ventilation to stay cool even in the heat of summer. Setup isn’t exactly “instant”—you’ll spend minutes pitching the huge tent—but the process is straightforward and you’ll never struggle with the pin-and-ring frame attachment system. The tent is treated with a 1200mm waterproof coating, and the frame is wind-resistant up to 40 km/h winds. On the days it’s raining, zip it up tight to keep it dry, then unzip everything once the rain stops to allow cool breezes to pass through the 8 mesh windows. The 3-season tent is tough enough to handle heavy rains and winds, and it features “Enhanced Weather Armor” that will guarantee waterproofing even when the sky is pouring hard.
The design change I want to comment on concerns the little “laundry room” that protrudes out the back of the tent. The short pole supplied for that protrusion splintered in two places and poked about four small holes in the black fabric of the laundry bubble. Better instructions on how it should be installed would have prevented the splintering, but I would rather have seen the “laundry room” not be an outside protrusion from the back of the tent. Rather it should have been a large pocket on the inside of the tent that requires no pole at all. I called North Pole (the makers of Ozark Trail tents) not to get much help! Rather than continuing to wait for the company to come up with a soulution and stop questioning me on proper use or abusive weather conditions!
I would like a response to this please and I do expect some compensation of some kind! Every time we put some faith in these tents we got let down. Over a hundred and seventy dollar Ozark Trail tent completely fell apart on me and my daughter. I had to tape the tent together with military issue 100-mile-an-hour tape.
Looking for a tent that can comfortably sleep two or three people? Though it only has 42 inches of peak height, it’s spacious enough inside that you can sit and lounge comfortably. If you’re planning a huge family gathering and want plenty of space for relatives, kids, pets, and all the necessary gear, this L-shaped tent may be just what you need. Not only is setup a breeze (thanks to the “Instant” pre-assembled frame), but it’s incredibly spacious with over 250 square feet of floor area and 6’10” peak height. Thanks to its cabin design, you can move, play, and lounge in comfort.
