Camp with confidence in this weather resistant with wind stable designed tent. Full of amenities, this tent truly is an oasis in the woods. It has an ePort to run an extension cord and a media pocket and 2 gear hammocks to safely store your electronic gadgets. Multiple interior convenience pockets provide plenty of storage space for everyones small objects. There are 3 removable room dividers and 3 doors to provide maximum privacy for a large group or remove the room dividers to enjoy a large, open 283 sqft space.
To clear the air immediately, the 7 Person Teepee is not waterproof. The seams aren’t sealed, and the untreated fabric that makes up the body is prone to soaking through after prolonged exposure. The phrasing that Ozark Trail uses is “water-resistant.” In my experience with the tent, that Ozark Trail Canopies means in any serious rain, expect to see some moisture leaking through at least the seams. The bottom seam gives water a place to pool up and eventually leak into the tent. That’s why I like Ozark Trail – their tents provide strong protection against wind, rain and sun across the board.
Overall, we think the Ozark Trail canopy serves its intended purpose – a value brand 10×10 instant shelter that caters to price conscious consumers looking for an affordable shade option. And compared to some of the tents in the EZ-Up lineup, it sells for almost a 70% discount. One could, in theory, purchase a new Ozark canopy every year (which they might need to!) and still come out ahead over the years vs. purchasing a more expensive alternative. You’ll also be happy to know that it has three different entrances, so you don’t have to bother the person or people in the middle room to get in and out.
However, if you are an avid camper, Ozark Trail tents may not be for you. Dependability in rough weather conditions and the durability of continued use are lacking in this tent. In some of the larger tent sizes, the LED lights inside use a USB connection. In heavy rain, you can expect moisture leakage, especially through the seams. The tent fabric is untreated, so it is prone to soaking through during prolonged exposure to wet conditions. Some pros of Ozark Trail tents are that they are affordable for almost anyone and are easy to find in your local Walmart or online.
The door features rollback flaps and the coverage of an awning, though some users complain it would be better with a second door (for rear entry/exit). Thanks to the dual ceiling vents and ground vent, you’ll stay cool indoors no matter how muggy the weather. And, because of the no-see-um mesh covering everything, bugs will never have a chance to find their way inside your tent.
The main area is huge, giving you and the family plenty of room to enjoy each other’s company. Ease of setup (how easy it is to pitch and take down a tent) is pretty much always a high mark for s. These tents are built for first-time and/or fairweather campers, so Ozark Trail puts a lot of effort into making them easy to use.
