Ozark Trail Tent Reviews

Setting this part up only takes a couple of extra minutes, so we don’t see it as a drawback. This is what makes it such a good choice for extended camping trips, as it gives you the option to get away and relax in privacy when things can get a little hectic. One of the coolest parts about this model is the design.

I am preparing for a camping trip of 10 days and nights down in Florida where it rains a lot and the wind sometimes is pretty strong so I am wondering if the fly will stay put. There is a large space between it and the top of the tent that might be a trap for strong wind so the ozark trail wall tent fly gets ripped off. I think I will go shopping this week for another tent that I feel better about. Otherwise I like the tent but do not trust it to hold up in severe conditions. It might be listed as a 4 person tent & be very spacious, meaning you’ll fit as 4 + your gear.

But this brand isn’t perfect, as with camping gear, you do often get what you pay for. This is a 1 – 1.5 seasons tent, essentially a summer camping type tent to be used in mild conditions and without much rain. So don’t be fooled by statements which you can see at some places ozark trail canopy that this is a tent for all seasons, it is not. For family camping, this is a tent for parents and up to 5 kids. The 7 large windows allow you to enjoy the views and keep the air flowing through your tent, but you can zip it up nice and tight against the cold and wind.

I would like a response to this please and I do expect some compensation of some kind! Every time we put some faith in these tents we got let down. Over a hundred ozark trail canopy and seventy dollar Ozark Trail tent completely fell apart on me and my daughter. I had to tape the tent together with military issue 100-mile-an-hour tape.

The design change I want to comment on concerns the little “laundry room” that protrudes out the back of the tent. The short pole supplied for that protrusion splintered in two places and poked about four small holes in the black fabric of the laundry bubble. Better instructions on how it should be installed would have prevented the splintering, but I would rather have seen the “laundry room” not be an outside protrusion from the back of the tent. Rather it should have been a large pocket on the inside of the tent that requires no pole at all. I called North Pole (the makers of Ozark Trail tents) not to get much help! Rather than continuing to wait for the company to come up with a soulution and stop questioning me on proper use or abusive weather conditions!
