Ozark Trail 16-Person 23 5 x 18.5 Cabin Camping Tent

With that being said, we have yet to see an Ozark Trail tent that’s actually “difficult” to set up, so there’s no reason to limit your search to “instant-only” if you don’t mind putting your own poles together. Ease of setup (how easy it is to pitch and take down a tent) is pretty much always a high mark for Ozark Trail tents. These tents are built for first-time and/or fairweather campers, so Ozark Trail puts a lot of effort into making them easy to use. At Untamed Space, we’re passionate about helping you have the best camping experience possible. Wherever you are in your journey, whatever gear you’re searching for, you can be sure to find unbiased and up-to-date reviews for all of your needs. After spending a lot of time with Ozark Trail tents, my final verdict is that they’re excellent budget friendly tents.

So as of the moment of writing this text, this Ozark Trail 5-in-1 Convertible Instant Tent and Shelter is completely unique on the market. When you see all its features, its price looks unbelievable. All the elements in the picture above are pre-attached to each other, so you simply unfold and extend its poles. The pictures below show the most important steps when you want to pitch this structure, the meaning of the steps will become more clear in the text below.

I watersealed the seams, as per the instruction sheet inside the carrying bag but I have not been rained on yet. I have a design change suggestion but I do not see an email address anywhere; therefore I cannot submit it to someone who can do something about it. Thank you OZARK for making camping nights with small children just a little more difficult!!!! Good thing we are all troopers and we didn’t let your HORRIBLE product ruin our trip. Rain fly is too big — it needs one side cut differently to allow to get in and out of the tent.

The fabrics are often thinner and less technical (regular polyester rather than ripstop, etc.), and the poles are pretty much always made from cost-saving materials like fiberglass and thin steel alloy. Livability describes the overall day-to-day experience of owning and using a tent, and tents that are more comfortable, convenient, and easy to use score the highest in terms of livability. Our favorite currently is the Ozark Trail Three Room Instant Cabin. This tent’s combination of floor space, livability, and value make it a home run for large groups or families looking to spread out in style, but this 12-person behemoth won’t be everyone’s first choice.

In terms of sheltering a handful of people for a premium, there are few better options- though notable drawbacks come with the affordability. Camping is an enduring family tradition widely considered an affordable alternative to travel. As the outdoors explodes in popularity, so too does the price of outdoor equipment. The ozark trail chair gulf between cheap, unreliable gear and high-end technical equipment is huge, and there are few dependable options between the two. There are some alternatives, and they might be a little easier to find than you’d expect. Trailspace’s community of gear reviewers has field-tested and rated the top tents and shelters.

For families, I think approximately two adults and three kids is about as much as you would want at one time, and even that might be pushing it. We had the chance to try out Ozark Trail’s 7 Person Teepee. A spacious, family-style tent with a startlingly low price point.

With settings for high, low, and medium light, you can create the perfect ambiance inside your tent. Whether you’re reading, playing games, or simply relaxing, the adjustable lighting adds a touch of comfort and convenience to your outdoor retreat. Powered by a Universal Power Bank or batteries, the LED system ensures you can enjoy pleasant illumination throughout your camping trip. The Ozark Trail 12-Person Base Camp Tent with Light is part of a versatile series of tents designed to accommodate different group sizes. Alongside the 12-person version, you’ll find options for 9 and 6 people, all sharing the same exceptional style and features.

The poles are conveniently added from the outside, eliminating the need for an extra fly. This single-layer construction simplifies the pitching process while maintaining durability and stability. With its 16 ft diameter, the tent provides ample space for a comfortable camping experience. In this setup you have a 4-person tent plus a screened area in front of it. This is a very useful option and I have included it in my list of family camping tents with a screen porch. Tents can be a pain to set up in the best of conditions, but what about when it’s dark, cold, and rainy?

As you can see from the larger tents above, they come in all kinds of different arrangements. Tunnel tent, five room, L-shaped, the list goes on and on. Pick what kind of shape you want your tent in, Ozark Trails will have it. The final tent I’ll review today is Ozark Trail’s largest – their 14 person, 4-room tent. Ft. of space, all split into three distinct, equal-sized rooms, all of which can fit queen-sized air beds. Simple – it’s a feature-packed tent that provides all the benefits of a large tent while minimizing the negatives.

Second, s are affordable because they use very basic materials. All Ozark Trail poles are either steel alloy or fiberglass, and the fabrics used throughout the tent are typically on the thinner side. Again, not a deal-breaker, but don’t expect these tents to stand up to the same use and abuse as their premium alternatives from brands.
