To test out the Ozark Trail Thermos line, I used the baseline temperature of 185 degrees Fahrenheit for all of the products I tested. My goal was to see how long I could keep a cup of coffee warm and if there would be variation in temperatures over time across the tumblers. I also used two of the 22oz Tumblers, one with the standard open mouth lid and one Ozark Trail Sleeping Bags with a closed, spill proof lid. Sturdy, super easy to set up, Nice carrying case on wheels, great price for how solid this tent is. Used for my son’s open house, had up for 3 days leading up to the event, and withstood light rain very well. The Yeti has the most streamlined design of the three coolers, staying true to the original Yeti look and feel.
With a hard plastic latch, you run the risk of brushing by the cooler and hitting your shin, which I have done and is awful. One of my favorite features though is the rubber wheels vs. the hard plastic wheels on the Pelican and Yeti. Not only will the rubber allow for a slightly smoother roll when you are pull this cooler along, but it will also be quieter.
The overall product weight of this cooler is 37lbs empty which is inline with the Pelican, but 7lbs heavier than the Ozark Trail cooler. The Tundra Haul features rubber clasps, which I really like, and hard plastic wheels. This cooler, when compared to the Pelican 45Q Elite and Yeti Tundra, has the smallest profile while still providing 45Q internal storage. It features rubber latches which I am a huge fan of for boating applications. When you are out on the water, people often sneak over to grab something from the cooler and may not latch it back up.
The biggest issue in all of this is the inability to withstand any rotational pressure during medium and high impact weather conditions as the joints become unstable and collapse at the mid points. In windy conditions high stress is applied to each side and the frame begins to break down at the unreinforced joint connectors. This 32 oz Ozark Trail Tumbler is in my opinion the most versatile of the bunch. One of the main reasons that you are filling a thermos is to enjoy your beverage at the desired temperature over extended periods of time. To that end, you may be out and about for hours which means having more of your favorite drink on hand will be beneficial.
It can stand on its own, but we always recommend that you lock it down, so it has no chance of blowing away. There doesn’t seem to be any information on the thickness level of the polyester, but this Ozark Trail Canopy model does have a 50+ UV protection rating. This is very important for gazebos, considering their principal purpose is to shield from the sun. Think about it like an umbrella, where you may often feel a whirl of air getting stuck between your head and the umbrella.
With a price point below $10, you are able to get 4 of the 32oz Ozark Trail Tumblers for a price that is comparable to 1 of the competitions 30oz tumblers, which to me is a huge ozark trail tent win. This large canopy gives 200 sq ft of coverage and features an easy-up design with telescoping legs, so it can be set up in just a matter of minutes. It also has a heavy-duty water-resistant canopy and rust-resistant legs, making it a great choice for cover on party days with rain in the forecast! One thing we love about Ozark Trail canopy tents are the accessories that can be added to the shelters. These include sidewalls, weight bags, and a host of other great add-ons that can really increase the use and versatility of the canopy tent. Perhaps our two favorites are camping tent additions that connect to the frame of the shelter and leverage the stability of the 10×10 frame to support a camping tent structure. I’ll be totally honest, I was not expecting this cooler to be as nice as it was.
