The window needs to be a sliding window and slide so that there’s an opening of 5″ or so for the air tub plank to fit. If you have swinging windows, it won’t work unless you also slam in a big piece of plywood (yikes… but if it’s hot you gotta do what you gotta do). I also use this AC in my office which is 445 sq. Again, Arctic King it cools the space down adequately, but if it was cooking hot, I’m not sure it would get as cool as I’d like due to the minimum temp being 17° Celsius. These bladder tanks combine portability and versatility with economy and are available in a full range of sizes from 250 USG (1000 L) to 33,000 USG (125,000 L).
The Arctic King 10k BTU portable air conditioner does not have an energy star rating, but this, however, doesn’t mean that it’ll have your electricity bill shoot up to an astronomical level. Of course, it would be better to have the Avallon Dual Hose Portable Air Conditioner that has a cooling power of 12,000 BTU. So it’s still powerful, even if it’s not the greatest BTU window air conditioner. But this Arctic King unit has an energy saver setting that you can switch on, and what this does is it switches it on and off intermittently depending on the current indoor climate.
When the parent company Midea took over the vision of whirlpool mini refrigerator, the sky was the limit. Expansion into the 220 and 240 volt markets was just a step away. I moved my office to a building without central air. I still can’t believe a large 4-story building doesn’t have central air, but it doesn’t.
I set one up and stored the third as a spare. We have a fourth AC which is much less noisy, but hasn’t lasted nearly as long as our hearty Arctic Kins. Our other AC that died wasn’t nearly as loud. It just didn’t have the same power that the Arctic King has. It’s louder than others I’ve owned, but in time it’s white noise.
This inability to log in and after trying everything else I had to delete the ac and set it up all over again. They must have hired the owners 15 year old nephew to design the app. The higher a unit’s CEER, the lower its operating cost compared with other models of its size.
