Fits perfectly on the Xplore and allows a child up to 55 lb to sit at a safe, higher level that’s closer to you. Designed with a 5-point harness to keep your little escape artists from wiggling out of their seats. On the inside each kid gets their own pockets and mama gets two on the outside.
Wondefold has a zipper door, while Evenflo folds down allowing the kids to exit, so both can be accessed easily if your kids are crafty. You can easily clean minor spills and stains on the material with soap and cold water and leave it out to dry. It has an extra basket, but it’s fairly small. Our small backpack-style diaper bag doesn’t fit and when I loaded my coat, toddler’s coat and baby’s coat in there I packed a diaper and thermos and that was about it.
These include the Radio Flyer Discovery, Jeep Wrangler and Keenz 7S. Those wagons are 2 or 3″ longer and 2″ wider than the Xplore. Pivot Xplore seats are padded and reasonably comfortable.
While it doesn’t push over bumps as well as the Veer that has large wheels in the front, it does perform well compared to other wagons. The brake didn’t always engage the first time and didn’t stop the fully weighted wagon as quickly as brakes on other wagons. The footwell can help keep dirt and mud off of the seats unless children are climbing in and out by themselves with muddy shoes.
Each seat holds up to 55 lbs, and 120 lbs total weight with cargo. You can also purchase a car seat adapter to allow it to be used from birth. I’m unsure though if you could still fit a child in the wagon with the infant evenflo stroller wagon seat installed. For the last year or so I’ve been noticing the “stroller wagons” popping up here and there. I also love that you can use them for kids AND for stuff if the kids want to walk, or if they are older.
After more research, I finally came across the Evenflo Pivot Xplore. At $269 (on sale) this was the easiest price to settle into and it came with a lot of fun accessories. After all, spring is just around the corner, and there will be trips where this stroller wagon will be a lifesaver. The Baby Trend is bulky when folded making it more cumbersome to load and stow in a vehicle. There is no footwell and the seats are straight up and down resulting in a less comfortable ride for children. It also didn’t perform quite as well in our terrain and steering tests. These two stroller wagons are similar in price with the Evenflo generally running higher. The inner dimensions of these wagons is almost identical except that the Evenflo has a footwell.
It is so easy to switch from wagon to stroller. I’ve had times when I’m pushing on concrete and need to go off into grass or gravel, and I can switch in literally 3 seconds. It is really convenient to not have limitations on where I can go with this wagon. It feels super solid when pushing in stroller mode.
