In-Depth Product Review: Tramontina Tri-Ply Clad also known as TriPlyClad

There’s a Tramontina ceramic cookware review coming up shortly. As well as staining itself, light-colored food may end up discolored. Tramontina use a nonstick coating to seal in the aluminum cookware. Tramontina manufactures a wide range of home products, from kitchen utensils and cookware to appliances, gardening tools, and much more.

As far as stainless pans go, I would rate Tramontina Tri-Ply Clad as average in terms of interior cleanup. It can be a pain to clean stuck-on grime around rivets, but I won’t take a point off just for that. Also, Tramontina is built with straight-sided rims and thus it has a tendency to spill liquid down the exterior side of the pot when pouring.

The smooth surfaces make cooking easy, and the thick bases mean the pots and pans will last. However, most of the products are now bonded so that the coating cannot come off, reducing the risk that someone could accidentally consume it. The fumes could become dangerous at super high temperatures, but you’re unlikely to reach those temperatures when cooking most dishes. For example, nonstick pans work well for delicate foods, such as pancakes and eggs.

Cold water on a hot pan is one of the fastest ways to ruin your cookware. If you have no kitchen utensils to your name and little money, this starter set is ideal for you. It’s inexpensive yet packed full of pots, pans, utensils, and a griddle. For more details on this Tramontina cookware line, check out my Tramontina Ceramic Cookware Review. Fortunately, both pans meet all five of these quality standards. I’ve used my All-Clad intensely for around eight years, and my Tramontina set even tramontina pans more intensely for the last year. Performance-wise, the Tramontina pan performed fairly identically to the All-Clad in our head-to-head tests.
