The angled back continues that level of support without making you feel like you’re collapsing in on yourself the longer you sit. A mesh panel keeps air flowing across the spine even on a hot day, while a single cup holder perfectly fits your favorite refreshing 12-ounce canned beverage. The odd shape can also get easily caught when putting the chair back into its carry bag. The seating platform also sits somewhat low to the ground, which could be an issue for taller folks. This isn’t the most supportive chair, with a typical seat slouch and an upright back. Still, we think this is an impressively versatile, comfortable, portable chair that also happens to be one of the most affordable options we tested.

Thinking of outside spaces at home in particular, some sit outside to read, others to sunbathe, others to dine, and so on. At IKEA, you’ll find the right seats for all your outdoor needs, including classic deck chairs, outdoor lounge chairs and patio dining chairs. You’ll also want to consider whether you want a cohesive look outdoor patio furniture with patio chairs of the same design, or prefer an assortment of complementary styles. There are pros and cons to both options, but we love the flexibility that choosing a few outside chairs offers. Having more than one style also allows people of different sizes and heights to find the most comfortable option for them.

We assessed durability not only by using them but by leaving the products out in the full summer sun and getting them wet for extended periods to look for signs of weathering. It can be a little bit heartbreaking to find a gorgeous relaxation spot — with nowhere to hang up your favorite hammock. We love this chair for its incredible comfort, the DL Lounger features a high back topped with a cushioned headrest, outdoor patio shades a slight recline, and breathable fabric that practically begs you to take a nap in it. You can set the legs at either a 3- or 20-inch height, and there are two storage pockets and a cup holder for your lounging convenience.

Sturdy, adjustable buckles allow you to choose just the right level of recline for whatever you’re using the chair for at any given time. The seat is made of a webbed mesh that comfortably conforms to your body and promotes airflow. The chair seemed surprisingly wear-resistant given how light it is and complimented the ball-and-socket joint system that helps the chair accommodate different body types.

It offers plenty of sitting space for a camping chair, and some testers were impressed with the comfort of the padded canvas seat. We were also mightily impressed with its listed 800-lb weight capacity, more than double of any other chair we tested. One tester has owned this chair for several years and many camping trips without a hiccup.
