I offer a special shoutout to the neighbor from my Buy Nothing group who happened to be picking something up at the same time this seat was delivered and asked if my wife and I were expecting another child. Unlike its previous two lineups, Evenflo only offers two different kinds of all-in-one car seat, and both can cost as much as $240. While the Symphony offers much of the same features as Evenflo’s convertible and infant seats, the Evenflo SafeMax all-in-one version has a bit more to offer. It uses a steel frame, SafeZone headrest and has been rollover tested. This seat checks almost all the boxes for comfort and ease of use. It’s well-padded, easy to install correctly (especially with seatbelt), the rotational feature is simple and smooth, and the harness is easy to tighten and loosen in both orientations.
All Evenflo car seats have been tested against twice the force required by law. In the case of the U.S., Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards dictate that a child safety restraint (CSR) must pass a 30 MPH frontal sled test. Using the lower body insert as-is (without folding and tucking), the harness fit wasn’t ideal on our 20″ doll either. We were able to get the straps nice and snug so I don’t think the fit was terrible but the harness was still a solid inch above this doll’s shoulders.
With the infant padding in the seat, the doll has a great fit. The base has a very easy-to-use lockoff that made installation fairly simple. Remove the wheels by pushing the grey button on the center of each wheel to release them from the stroller frame.
The main harness strap pads (with the grippy backside) are permanently attached. Since it’s a safety feature of this seat, they are mandatory and not removable. Refer to your product’s instruction manual to see how to adjust and tighten the straps on your Evenflo convertible car seat. At Sam’s Club, we understand the importance of car seats. We carry a variety of models, including many car seats made in America, which must pass rigorous safety tests. To see where each car seat was made, check the specifications at the bottom of the product page.
To install without the base, collapse the stroller then remove the two largest wheels and attach them to the underside of the carrier. When the seat is forward-facing or being used as a booster it has to be in the fully upright position and there is no way to accidentally have it any other way so no worries about misuse there. This feature is undoubtedly the highlight of Revolve 360 and it’s everything you could hope for in a revolving car seat.
In this blog, we’ll compare the differences and explain the similarities between all the types of Evenflo infant car seats. We’ve made an easy to read chart to help you navigate the key points. In general, infant car seats are engineered for babies less than one-year old and less than about 35 pounds. For maximum safety, experts suggest that babies at this age and weight be placed in a rear-facing position.
Evenflo makes car seats for infants, convertible car seats, booster seats, and all-in-one seats which are adjustable to accommodate infants, back and forward-facing, and can turn into booster seats. Once children exceed the height or weight requirement for forward-facing car seats, they can use a booster seat. Booster car seats are typically for school-aged children and offer the same safety standards. There are several types of booster seats (Harnessed booster seats, Belt positioning booster seats, and no back booster seats) each one’s usage depends on the weight and height of the child. Where the Shyft DualRide differs is that I have a hard time spelling the name correctly, plus a few other key things. Similar items are available on that other seat, there is an extra charge for each item.
Our doll looks equally comfortable in this setup as well. The Shyft DualRide has some very nice, easy to see and access belt guides. That made installing it without the base pretty darn easy.
Up, since it’s well-known that some convertible and all-in-one seats that are rated from 5 lbs. But if you’re going to rate your seat down to 4 lbs., you really need to prioritize small baby fit and it’s pretty obvious that wasn’t the case with this seat. I’m a little perplexed as to why they decided to rate the seat down to 4 lbs.
As stated, all infant car seats are safe due to inspection, but they must be installed correctly in order to be effective. It’s possible that the car seat of your choice evenflo stroller wagon will not be compatible with your car due to the differences in car styles. Choose a baby car seat that can be secured tightly, allowing little to no wiggle room.
